Occupational Health/OccuPro News
Occupational Health/OccuPro
OccuPRO understands that the relationship between the design of the worksite and the functional abilities of the worker dictate how the work is performed.  A mismatch between the worksite design and the worker’s abilities leads to unsafe, inefficient work practices and, ultimately, to injuries.
OccuPRO’s overriding goal is to prevent injuries in the workplace. We begin our work toward this goal even before a job applicant is hired. Pre-Work Screens allow employers to make sure an applicant can perform the physical demands of the job before completing the hiring process. We continue our injury prevention efforts by offering Ergonomic Consultations and improvements, identifying the stressors that lead to injuries, and making
recommendations that will reduce or eliminate the stressors. Our Work Conditioning methods return injured workers to work faster than conventional therapy methods.

Early in the rehabilitation process we compare the worker’s functional abilities to the functional demands of his/her job (FJA Function Job Analysis/FJD Functional Job Description) and develop a common sense rehabilitation plan to bridge the gaps.

Assess Risk

The goal of risk assessment is to help you decide what you need to do to guarantee the health and safety of your employees. An assessment of risk is no more than a careful examination of what, in your workplace, could cause harm to people, so that you can evaluate whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent injury. The aim is to make sure that no one gets injured or becomes ill. Completing a risk assessment doesn’t have to be overly difficult, most hazards are few and simple.

This assessment is designed to help evaluate your company’s approach to its workers’ compensation programs. Your answers will be completely confidential. OccuPRO finds that clients who have moved beyond traditional claims management and are committed to owning and solving the problem of employee injury and workers’ compensation obtain the best outcomes. Does that sound like your company? If so, please answer the following questions in this self-assessment test.
