Big Stone Physical Therapy, Inc. was established in July 1990 by Physical Therapists Paul Treinen and Wade VanDover. The practice originally provided inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services to four community hospitals located in Ortonville, Wheaton, and Graceville in Minnesota and Sisseton, SD. With the addition of occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and massage therapy, the name was changed to Big Stone Therapies, Inc. (BST). Occupational health services began in June 2000 and, in the fall of 2005, a sister company, OccuPRO, Inc. was established to provide occupational health services to area businesses.

In 2002, Paul and Wade begin private practice therapy services. At that time, Roman Taffe joined the staff to serve as administrator and to manage the business affairs of the growing practice. Roman is now a partner and, in 2012, Vice-President of Long-Term Care Angela Meyer became a partner. Today, BST serves the therapy needs of 21 communities in West Central Minnesota and Northeast South Dakota. To view our locations and the services provided at each location, click here.
